It was exactly the type of performance that head coach Mike Krzyzewski and the USA Basketball Men’s Senior National Team wanted as they continue to prepare for the Olympics.
Michael Redd went a scorching 6-of-8 from downtown on his way to 20 points as the U.S. Team rolled past Canada, 120-65, at the 2008 State Farm USA Basketball Challenge on Friday.
Despite playing against a Canada team that’s been together for much longer, the U.S. Team looked surprisingly united. Dwyane Wade appeared to be completely healed from a sore knee that forced him to miss the final 21 games of the NBA season and helped set the tone for an electric second-quarter surge from his squad.
