I heard about JobTrain through a close friend who is going here too. Even though I am only 22 I felt it was too late for me to get the education I needed to make a good career for me and my family. I decided to check it out anyway.
From the first day I have been treated with utmost respect. I have never received such love and compassion, not even from my parents. When I was growing up no one cared, mom and dad were on drugs. I cried myself to sleep under the covers in fear for my life. Now JobTrain ’s staff are going out of their way to help me get where I want to go in life. My teacher pushes me and tells me not to quit. I cannot begin to express how much I appreciate that there are people in this world that care about helping others.
In May 2006 I will do something no one in my immediate family has done. I will graduate from a course that will jump start me into a career where I will excel beyond all measures. My daughter and I are not homeless anymore, and I am working part time while I go to JobTrain. At first I did not believe in miracles. But JobTrain is a miracle working organization that saves lives and helps people believe in themselves. Because of JobTrain I see the light at the end of the tunnel. I can do it!!!!
Sincerely and gratefully,
Jacob Houston
