How did you get started with your music?
Music is my life, I’ve always listened to hip hop and rap, and I’ve seen how it’s changed people’s life’s and that inspired me greatly, Music is my way to release my message and speak my mind openly about whatever I feel is important, music is my way to teach today’s youth not to ‘fuck up’ and make mistakes, Music is my way to educate the youth about the streets, about drugs, guns, gangs, and violence, and education. Music is my way to change the World, Music is the key to every door. Original Rap and Hip Hop specifically focused on real life, such as thug life, selling drugs to support your family, joining gangs so you don’t get knocked around or killed, survival, etc. It also gave motivation to the hopeless, It was music all who were real could relate to. Now it’s completely the opposite and people have hip hop backwards, Rappers these days are portraying selling drugs to the youth, Saying they’ve got mansions, fancy import cars, and jewelery from selling drugs, they don’t speak about the all the death they’ve witnessed, nor do they speak about the jail time they’ve done, Also, they don’t speak about selling drugs ending up on there criminal record, and when they go to apply for a job, how they get rejected once the employer See’s there past history. All of today’s rappers are turning commercial, and letting money make and shape them, they rap about chains, cars, clothes, and money, that’s not what real hip hop is about. The exception includes a few such as Nu Breed, Termanology, Cuban Link, Saigon, and One of my favorite groups and big influences in my life, Fedd Hill. In my music I just keep it real, and I try to teach today’s people about tomorrow. I’m trying to be the change I wish to see in the World. I’m a leader, not a follower, I simply set the path for the rest to follow. I’ve learned from my past, and I don’t want others to make the mistakes I’ve made. Live and learn. And with my music, you can’t judge me by one song, You need to listen 2 the whole CD, Each and every single one of my songs is different, Similar to snowflakes, no 2 are alike, I have different emotions when I write different songs, some songs are for the clubs and some songs are for the streets, Everything is different. I have 3 things a lot of rappers lack, one being my age, I’m only 14 and I’ve seen more and done more then most have in there whole life. Two being how focused, motivated, serious, and passionate I am, and 3 my wisdom and ability to never give up, How can you fail if you never give up, Music is my life, My life is music, regardless of what others think. I am the movement, who will keep moving forward until I’m dead, and when I’m dead, the legacy will still continue.
What are you currently working on?
Currently, I am finishing up a demo that I’ve spent about 1/2 year on, I take my time when I write my music and I speak the truth, regardless of any ones opinions. This demo is my opportunity to be heard, I’ve already been featured on a lot of national mixtapes, Cd’s, colabo’s, TV shows, radio stations, and I’m performing a lot now. I’ve already found a few investors who are extremely confident in me and wish 2 fund my CD, which should be released within a year

Being only 15 and going through all the shit I’ve went through in my life and all the painful tragedies, and coming from the streets of North Portland, Reno, and Providence, I’ve seen all the shit that goes down coast to coast with the deprived youth, I’ve seen all the shit that goes down in all the projects and in all the slums with the deprived youth. I’ve also lost a lot of close friends and fam to drugs, gangs and violence.
In the majority of cases, the youth turn to drugs, gangs, and violence because they don’t have a role model or no one to teach them right from wrong, they also resort to drugs, gangs, and violence because that’s how they’re brought up and raised. Many youth use drugs to escape reality because it’s to real for them, many turn to gangs because they don’t have any real friends or a family, and many turn to violence and fighting because they feel that it’s the only way they will earn respect. Lil’ Cash offers alternatives to almost everything negative in his music. For example, Lil’ Cash Money Da Young Rapper uses all the negativity he went through in his life and turns it into something positive, inspiring music that anyone who has had it rough can relate to. Instead of using drugs, bangin’ and slangin’, Lil’ Cash is in the studio making music. “I don’t try to escape reality, I face it how it is, I speak real talk in ma music, wait til ma debut album drops and you’ll hear for ya self” He emphasizes never to under estimate the power of your mind, he also says if he can rise above and beyond everything he went through and make it than anyone can. He inspires the youth to follow their dreams and constantly repeats nothing is impossible and a that dreams are real, and reality is wrong. Another famous saying from pac, how can you fail, if you never give up, is what Lil’ Cash repeats to himself everyday when doing something that may seem difficult.
I know straight A students who had a bright future ahead of them drop out of high school because of drugs, and I know the best r&b singer my ears have ever heard fuck his life up and fail in school because of drugs, I know catz who have tried to kill themselves because of drugs, I know people who use drugs everyday, I know people who locked up and dead right now because of drugs. I know people who come to school only for a free meal and to sell drugs to other youth. Almost every single person I know uses drugs, especially the youth. Almost every single friend of mine is locked up or dead right now because of drugs. Drugs don’t take you further, they set you back.
People who join gangs, they join em because they aint got no friends and family, they aint got no one who cares about them and loves them and supports them. They feel hopeless and desperate, they feel weak, their mind plays tricks on them and they become a member in a gang not realizing there fucking up there whole life. The only one who makes money in a gang is the leader, the rest end up working for the leader like slaves fearing their life is at risk, a gang aint ya real family, they only care about you because you bring in money, if you want a real family, join a Christian church.
And violence, people who resort to violence don’t think logically and use the power of their mind. Instead of stabbing someone to death or shooting someone, take a second or two and talk to them, by participating in violence you show you’re irrational and not thinking to your fullest capability. Instead of robbing a bank and killing two or three people for money, you should be talking with those people on ways to better the World to where people don’t have to rob and kill for money.
Real talk from ya boy Lil’ Cash Money Da Young Rapper, and this is based 100% on experience, I use to use drugs, associate with gangs and participate in violence, til the Lord woke me up and made me see where I was heading, some lessons are costly, but everything happens for a reason. Now I realize my purpose for living, to change the World one life at a time through music.
