How did you get started with your music? My father was a famous reggae singer/ producer named Keith Hudson, he got his start producing for many Reggae’s greats such as U-Roy, Delroy Wilson, Dennis Al capone and John Holt. Then he started recording his own music, he was big in Jamaica, England, and Germany, pretty much everywhere they re-release his music to this day, but he pasted away when i was 8 years old, but my first time on a song was when i was 6 years old, on his song called Steaming Jungle, so i grew up im the music business
What are you currently working on? I carry my father’s legacy with my own debut Album “Fahrenheit Affair” and my book “Jabula’s Happiness” both available on Amazon.com and Createspace.com though my independent label Crimson Ink Records
What kind of music do you listen to and how does it influence your music? I listen to mostly old school Hip hop, R&B, and also Reggae it keeps me inspired to make great music. Great artist inspire me to be as great or greater than them, that what hip hop is about
What’s your opinion on mainstream music today? What do you like or not like? i think that music is at a state where everybody feel they can do it too, the era i’m come from , you had to be good, i mean really good, It’s like going to a basketball game and the players sit down, and watch the fans play basketball. Everybody’s not meant to be able to break dance, thats what makes breaker’s special. So same thing goes for rap, it’s not enough special people doing it, so it’s not that special to people anymore, “when your average high school teacher say i can rap better than these guys”, then you know it aint the same as it was.Don’t get me wrong there are some songs i can get with, and it fits the atmosphere of where your at if your in the club, but some of these records out sound exactly the same, but you can push any song to radio and clubs if you have the money, but i do realize that times change and kids love it so i guess i can knock it, as long as it keeps these rappers out of trouble and doing something positive, and inspire the kids to do the same then i’m with it.
