How did you get started with your music?
It’s all about complimenting lyrics to music and sounds to words. Daily an emcee from
Wess was raised on that good music. Music so good that he ended up being able to do that good music with 6 different instruments; So much passion that still got him doing it today. But it was only when his cousin Dj Swift rock from the Bay Area took him beyond what he thought he could ever be capable of doing…Producing and all that came with it; To finding the right artists, how to find growing potential in people, and how to be smart and be the greatest at what you do…Its been 3 years now since he had that talk with DJ Swift rock… and ever since he has been making that beautiful music… Yup… that music so good that’ll make you want to make some of your own.
What are you currently working on?
Daily and Wess eat, breath, and sleep in the lab. Both are working on fine-tuning the sound that they got. From Daily sharpening up his words to make you think harder, to Wess hitting them beats more to make you and your momma vibrate in your 87 pinto.
What kind of music do you listen to and how does it influence your music?
Daily is on that good hip-hop tip. He listens to the likes of Mos Def, Talib Kweli, Atmosphere, Lupe to Common, and Visionaries to Living Legends. To much to name them all… It’s that type of hip-hop that you could live life too. It gives him that soundtrack to life… to keep him doing the damn thang. Wess listens to a whole variety of genres. Above all that thou, he’s on that old school soulful tip. “The ways I see it, you gotta know your roots, to be able to reach that treetop”
Where do you see yourself in a year from now?
To be truthfully honest, we have a strong view on looking ahead into the future and seeing where we would love to be. However there is so much of where this dream of making it could take us…but we have to take it step-by-step and day-by-day before anything. Hopefully more doors will open up for us as the year progresses, but we just got to keep doing what we love to do, and allow our talent for music to mature. “Step-by step and day-by day.”
Any additional information you would like us to know?
We have the utmost respect for everyone out there doing his or her thing with music. Just make sure all of you stay real to yourself.
